HealthSPORT was built in 1992 as an
expansion from Valley West Fitness Center
in Arcata to a full service, privately owned
health club in the middle of the community
park. Since we opened we have continued
our quest to help get the world fit, by
recruiting most of the active people in
Arcata and surrounding areas, and opening
a club in Mckinleyville, Fortuna,
Eureka by the Bay and future HealthSPORT
in Eureka that plans to open in 2010. We are thankful for the enthusiastic support from the community and look forward to continue to fulfill our club mission: Satisfied Members!

At HealthSPORT, we know that support is an important part of anyone’s workout routine. Whether you’re working out with a group of supportive people, or you’re working one-on-one with an enthusiastic trainer, getting that extra support strengthens your commitment to fitness. We hire passionate people to work at HealthSPORT, because teaching fitness or leading a class isn’t just about the right technique, it’s also about having the right spirit – and the ability to make fitness contagious and fun.
At HealthSPORT, along with our excellent instructors and trainers, we’re also known for our fun classes, clean facilities, and for attracting great members. Our members are an essential part of who we are, and when you join HealthSPORT, you’ll meet a wonderful, supportive group of people that will encourage you in your quest toward fitness.
